The Newby is a tall cat tree tower for cats that live to climb. Standing 170 cm high on a 60 x 50 cm base, it is laid out as a staircase of platforms that step up and around the posts, so an agile cat can work its way from the floor to the top in a series of jumps rather than one straight scramble.
The route starts with a wooden ladder at the base and a cloud-shaped side step. A wooden house with a round-eared cut-out and a side opening sits low on the tree for resting between climbs. Above it, two clear acrylic bowl beds are set into separate platforms, one above the other, so a cat can nap mid-climb and keep an eye on the room. Near the top, a wide cloud-edged platform with a low rail carries a hanging ball, and the highest level is a small railed lookout at the peak.
Hemp rope wraps the tall posts, giving a climbing cat a long scratching run on every level. The natural wood-effect finish keeps this tall tower looking tidy in a living room.
